HI CG: Good post! You/we are all of those adjectives. We are never perfect. Try and accept your faults and good points as teachers and as equals. Being hard on yourself means you will be hard on others. Maybe the lesson is acceptance. I can relate to this critic in your head. It is not healthy for anyone. We are what we think, yes? Your self talk makes you sound like the worst person in the world and the most needy? What is this about, where did it come from? How can you change your thoughts about this? It is possible and probable for you to change the view you have yourself and then your view of the world will change with that. It starts with your own heart/spirit. And yes, giving to others does get one out of their own self absorption which after a time is just feeling sorry for one self and not seeing the bounty that surrounds one. Attitude=Altitude. It's great that you're in a time of flux, that is exciting. It's all about getting better/growth. My thoughts on President's Day, which is not really Washington's birthday. :)

Goff, the only way to do this is to have a static lifestyle that you can completely map out. As that's dull and a slow death, just try not to make the same mistake twice. Also learn to recognize the same mistake in different wrapping paper.

Sounds correct and biblical to me. Being faithful with our work as we use our talents/skills could line up with Luke 19:17 and the surrounding parable.

An even more fun thing to do is to use the sentence(s) and write a story of your own off of it(them). You have an entirely new idea that way!
