My dreams make me wonder
What might be different
If I’d said this or that
Tried a little harder
Trusted God completely.

Why it’s turned out the way it has
Those important to me have been loved and lost
I’ve allowed my heart to rule
The best intentions aren’t enough.

If it’s in God’s plan
For me to step out in faith
Take the initiative and a risk
Make the jump into unknown territory.

How it all might unfold
When it’s the right time to begin
The Lord may lead me away
Or will there be reason to stay?
