This Saturday marks the beginning of a very big change in my life…
I’m going to Fremont, CA for two weeks to complete a course in EMT-B training. Up until this point in my life my main working life has consisted of computer repair, so this is quite a big change. A few months ago I just got sick of the unfulfilling nature of sitting at a computer all day. My girlfriend at the time(nurse in training) suggested trying something in the medical field, such as being an X-ray Technician or EMT. After some research I decided to pursue the EMT route. I really enjoy serving others and despite my short-lived stint as a Christian Ministries major at APU, I really feel like this will be a wonderful opportunity to be used by God to help others in their time of need. The training will be rigorous at 12 hours a day for 2 weeks, but I’m just going to focus on getting through one day at a time.
Anyone who reads this, please pray for me over the next couple weeks. I know I am going to need a lot of consistency, faith, and determination. I am very much looking forward to returning home having fully completed the training.
My plans for what I do after returning from the training have changed. I am now looking for places to live in the Azusa/Glendora area. I’m hoping to start working for an ambulance service as quickly as possible after returning home…the most likely company would be American Medical Response. They currently have many openings at their Irwindale branch, so hopefully when I get my certification they’ll still have some spots left.
God bless you all, and I’ll be back October 22nd

Good luck Christopher! Study hard and do the best you can. Gypsy sends a bark to you, too.
Sounds like you have a great plan for yourself, too.
